    Not the usual Seiko quality

0 1/5 Wandering Celt - See all my reviews This review is from: Seiko Men's SKS413 "Amazon Exclusive" Stainless Steel Watch with Triple-Link Bracelet (Watch) The first thing I noticed on this watch was the non-rotating bezel. (Why put one on a watch if it doesn't rotate?) It states in the item description that it is "unidirectional" for time-lapse use. On reading the manual for this watch it also states that the crown is "screw-down" to maintain water-resistant functionality. The crown actually rotates free on this model. Also in the stop-watch mode the way it operates can be very confusing. In my eyes this watch definitely does not come up to the usual Seiko brand quality. It seems that this is more of a theme in recent years. A Seiko watch used to be one of the best watches you could buy, maybe those days are gone. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 19, 2014

    Thewatch itself looks nice

0 2/5 Leif Hansen - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Seiko Men's SKS413 "Amazon Exclusive" Stainless Steel Watch with Triple-Link Bracelet (Watch) The watch itself looks nice, however, its functionality is marginal at best. The biggest issue I have with the watch is that the knob that is used to set the date and time constantly gets pulled out somehow. This results in the watch stopping and thus not telling the correct time. It seems that this problem is getting increasingly worse as I am now having to reset the watch at least once a day. It may be just an issue with my watch in particular but I find it very frustrating. I would not buy this one again. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 15, 2014

The crown pops out easily thus loosing accurate time

0 3/5 ccmp - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Seiko Men's SKS413 "Amazon Exclusive" Stainless Steel Watch with Triple-Link Bracelet (Watch) Eh, if I was able to do it over, I probably wouldn't have purchased this watch. the strap broke already. Granted I'm an active person and I shouldn't have got this watch, but the band still broke. The crown pops out easily thus loosing accurate time. Its a basic watch and It looks good and its a Seiko, so its not all that bad. I'm just kinda salty the band broke. I have other Seiko's that have stood the test of time, the band on this one didn't. The watch itself is still working though. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 10, 2014

Excellent value for a set-it-and-forget-it 200M Divers watch

All my other divers are automatics, and through the process of rotating them out every day or two, they often run down. Wanted at least one relatively inexpensive battery-powered watch that still retained a good level of quality but didn't skimp on the features. The good:-Actual 200M Divers watch; if you'r familiar with Seiko at all, you know that this designation means that these watches are actual, ISO-compliant diver watches, it's not just a marketing term.-Great lume. As with most Seiko divers, the lume is excellent. Nicer still is that the lume paint color is white on this model as opposed to the more common greenish tint. (It of course still glows green.) The white contrasts nicely with the black dial for a fairly dress appearance.-Fit and finish are typical Seiko which is to say very good.-Bezel action is superb, not too tight, not too loose, but manages to feel both positive and smooth.-Screw down crown operates easily, does not... 5/5 wes_mantooth - See all my reviews This review is from: Seiko Men's SNE107 Stainless Steel Watch with Link Bracelet (Watch) All my other divers are automatics, and through the process of rotating them out every day or two, they often run down. very good watch

0 5/5 Mp (new york, ny United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Seiko Men's SNE107 Stainless Steel Watch with Link Bracelet (Watch) This will pass as a fine dress watch. It looks really nice and elegant while it clearly suggests that it's a function oriented watch: solar, dive watch to 200m, bezel, diver's extension bracelet, simple design..., etc. I took out three links to make it fit my wrist. The s.s. bracelet is very comfortable. I will be test driving it as a dive watch next two weeks, and I will report back how it fared under water. I like that I will never have to wind or change the battery to keep it working!Report: (Jan.20,2012)I went open water diving with it for 6 days straight to maximum depth of about 20 meters for 3-4 hours daily. It worked out great. Easy to read under water and didn't have any water or moisture problems. Just rinse the salt water off it after use with other diving equipment and that was easy. Also, the lume is so good, I can read the time without turning on the lights in the middle of the night.I recommend it. it's a fun watch to own. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 6, 2012

    Typical Seiko High Quality

It's nice to see Seiko getting into the solar market. Battery changing can be a hassle when you own as many watches as I do and can get to be expensive. My first impression of the watch when I picked it up was that the bracelet seemed a bit light and not as sturdy as the bracelet on other Seiko watches that I own. It is also not as wide as I like on a watch that has a 42-43mm case. It is a 20mm bracelet and I think a 22mm with a less "tinny" feel to it would have looked and felt much better. That is the only reason I rate it 4 stars instead of 5. Many might expect a heftier, bigger bracelet on a watch this size. The second thing I noticed was the incredibly beautiful black color of the dial. It's sort of a black matte-sunray dial (if that makes any sense). I am a fan of pure black dials and this one is just beautiful. On other solar watches that I own, I can slightly see through the dial and into the solar panel but not on this one. It's completely black... 4/5 Ticktocker (Washington State) - See all my reviews This review is from: Seiko Men's SNE107 Stainless Steel Watch with Link Bracelet (Watch) It's nice to see Seiko getting into the solar market. outstanding!

I've owned mostly Seiko's since 1971 when I bought my first one in Hong Kong. It was an automatic and lasted 5 years, till I dropped it. My latest did the same. This titanium is the best of them all. Light, clean, accurate, and prety thin. Very easy to read in bad light with these tired eyes. To take out a link on the band, all you need is an ice pick or similar. Undo the band pin, and put the watch on a towel. Put the tip of the pick in the depression, and push hard following the arrows on the band. It will come out slowly, and you can snatch it out. After that, put it back together, and adjust the fine tune using the holes in the clasp. Not too hard if you're strong enough.I normally don't buy battery watches because I hate to get a new battery and all the hassle. With this 5 year life, though, it should be ok. The increased accuracy, thinness, and reduced weight, makes it worth it to me. BTW, titanium is much tougher than SS, and won't scratch as easily. 0 5/5 sportyrider "sportyrider" - See all my reviews I bought this watch at an auction site and when it was delivered I thought the box was empty because the watch is so lightweight. I own many watches, including a Kinetic Seiko, and this titanium beauty ranks near the top. Only my Rolex Datejust is nicer looking than this timepiece. It is very easy to set the day, date and time and the accuracy is unbeatable. I highly suggest this watch for you or to buy as a gift. Classy, simple, accurate

First of all, it's a Seiko. That's a name with a well-earned reputation. It's a classy, wear-anywhere watch. This is a solar watch, something Seiko has been manufacturing since 1977, long before Citizen started pushing its "eco-drive" watches (my wife has one of those, by the way, so I'm not knocking them). The Amazon price is half what my local store charges. The watch is easy enough to set up; being quartz, it keeps perfect time, even if it's not a "chronograph." The first couple of days, as it's storing up a long-term charge, the second hand will move two seconds at a clip to let you know it's still charging. When it goes second by second, it's fully charged. I had to shorten the wristband myself, which is simple, but it's still challenging to actually execute. I used a thumbtack to push in the pins - it takes some pressure to remove them (in the direction of the arrow on the inside of the band). I love the push-button lock on the wristband; it's very flexible, so it lies flat when... 5/5 W. Gross (Colorado Springs CO) - See all my reviews, September 21, 2011

There is practically no light reflection off the champane color background; which results in a very clear view of the time.

0 5/5 Stanley A Brown - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Seiko Men's SNE036 Stainless Steel Solar Watch (Watch) The champagne color is a beautiful soft gold color. I was really happy to see that there is far less light reflection (practically none) off the champagne color background than there is off my 15-20 year old gold colored Seiko watch.I had originally bought the Seiko Men's SNE044 Gold Tone Solar Black Dial Watch, but I returned it after looking at it for two days. I hated the reflection of the light off of the black background. The reflected light was a medium gray color. It looked awful and it made it difficult to see the time on the watch. I am really happy with my new Seiko Men's SNE036 Gold Tone Solar Champagne Dial Watch. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 11, 2013

    Great watch!

I love the solar charging aspect of it so I don't have to change batteries, and the watch itself looks amazing and extremely classy. But there are a few downsides:1. The link edges that touch the skin are a bit sharp so the first few days I was constantly itching, and I don't have the band tight either. I guess the skin will get used to it.2. The color in the center of the links is black, not dark gray like in the photo, and unless you are in bright daylight, the watch looks black. Fine for some, but if you are looking for a gray/dark gray watch, this is not it. It's way darker in real life than in the picture.3. The second hand that goes around the dial like in other watches is instead a stopwatch, so it just sits there at the 12 o'clock position, while the actual second hand is the tiny dial on the left at the 9 o'clock position. I would have liked if it would function instead as a stopwatch when needed, and as a second hand the rest of the time... 4/5 Mike Wazowski "Mikey" - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Exceptional

0 5/5 Country Boy - See all my reviews This review is from: Seiko Men's SSC143 Stainless Steel Solar Watch with Link Bracelet (Watch) Seiko makes great watches. My wife bought me this for our anniversary and I can't say enough about it. It is very classy and I like the solar feature. It is a nice looking watch, and I rely on it heavily in my profession (timeliness is important, no time to look at a clock/cell phone). I'm a pharmacist and always need to know what time it is, what date it is, etc. Medication administration times are important, too.I have an older Seiko I received as a gift 10 years ago that still keeps exceptional time. It is accurate to about 15 seconds per month (still). It is showing some wear and tear as I wore it every day for those 10 years. It's on its third battery. These things will last a lifetime with proper care. Bravo to Seiko! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 4, 2013

0 5/5 Andre - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Seiko Men's SSC143 Stainless Steel Solar Watch with Link Bracelet (Watch) I was not looking for a Seiko watch as this brand always reminded old fashioned watches. Like the one my grandfather would buy.Got really attracted to this one and also found many others beautiful as well. After reading that Japanese movement is good as the Swiss ones decided to go for this $200 solar watch. It is very beautiful and looks a more expensive watch.Battery is charged by any type of light, not only sun's.Maybe because its different gray color it captures more attention than my white Tag Heuer. It's not as heavier as the Tag, but it still has a good weight. The Hardlex window looks as good as the Saphire crystal from more sophisticated pieces. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 6, 2013
